Bandsmen, please confirm with the leaders whether you're coming or not coming for the band camp by tomorrow, Thursday, 2 December 2010 before 12 midnight.
This band camp is compulsory, is not for you to decide whether you want to come anot. By now you guys should know how important this band camp is & what are the objectives of the camp.
If any of you is not coming, you're to produce a MC, letter or photocopied passport to prove that you're sick or overseas. Thank you.

#14 - Announcements.

Bandsmen, as you all know that Section Competition & First Recitals will be held during the band camp.
For Section Competition, sec 1s are not included. Please find the piece that your section is playing before the camp & bring the score for the camp. SLs, better get this done as soon as possible.
For First Recitals, sec 1s will have to play a solo. The solo must be at least 16 bars, not less than 16 bars.
I'll update you guys more about the band camp. If you got any questions, just send the leaders a text. Thank you & spread the message around. :)

1. Bandsmen, there will be sectionals for the percussionists tomorrow & combine for everybody.
Some band members from Innova Junior College will be coming tomorrow, please put on your best behaviour. Don't make a fool out of yourself. Thank you.

2. I realised that not many people came for today's sectionals. Why is it so? Attendance is horrible. Some people still can tell me craps like you don't know the dates. Mr Lum DID told the whole band to write down okay.
The leaders called some of you guys, you all can give us excuses like my mum don't allow me to come, SLs never pass down message, don't feel like coming. What nonsense?! This is getting from bad to worse seriously. Some of you didn't attended many practices, you better give your MC to Sharon if you're sick & for those with no valid reason, you'll bear the consequences.

3. The whole band please come at 8am for drills tomorrow, is still not up to standard. There will be a half an hour break in between. Those who fail to come, you will get it from us.

4. People who haven tell Zhi Qing when you're going overseas, better tell her by this week. See you guys tomorrow.

1. Tomorrow there will be sectionals for woodwinds & brasses. Percussion no need to come.
Woodwinds: 9am - 12noon
Brasses: 12noon - 4pm

Take all the sectionals & rehearsals seriously, there's no more time to waste if we want our gold.

2. Those who will not be attending any band practices during the holidays as you're going overseas, please tell your SLs the date you will be leaving Singapore and when you will be coming back. SLs will have to tell Zhi Qing who will be going overseas in your section and from when to when by latest this coming Tuesday. Thanks.

As all of you know that the Hong Kong Trip is cancelled. Please DO explain properly to your parents. Basically, is that we are unable to book the air tickets anymore, because some of our bandsmen are unable to confirm until now. And it will cost us a bomb if we fly there on our own. I hope you guys will understand. And also, REFLECT on what you guys had been doing this past few months. Yes, we may be upset, but we have to move on. Focus on our SYF drill video, followed by our SYF. Let's work hard together, and shall not disappoint Mr Lum, of course ourselves too!

Bandsmen,
1. Today is the first practice after the exams.
I realised many of you are talking once Mr Lum stops, try not to talk during rehearsal unless you're talking about relavant things.
You can talk all you want after band & during breaks alright.
The leaders don't like to scold you guys, so behave okay? :)

2. Write in the countings & articulations for the rhythm studies. (KAZE NO MAI)
Countings below, articulations on top.
Everyone should hand in by this Friday, 22nd October 2010.
We have no time to waste! Remind your section mates!
In case you've forgotten, the consequence of not handing up:
WRITE A LETTER OF WITHDRAWING OUT OF SYF.

3. Bind your rhythm books if you have not done so & write in the countings as well.
By now you should have your own set of Kaze No Mai & A Day at Disneyland scores.
Write in the bar numbers for Kaze No Mai.

4. Friday attire is band tee, bring your necessary stuffs. Report in the band room by 1pm.
Settle down by 1.15pm. See you guys. :)

Bandsmen, the 16 of us went for Da Capo 2010 by NUS Wind Symphony yesterday. :)

Adding on, each and everyone of you have to go for at least 2 concerts every year.

#1 - Announcements.

Bandsmen,
1. Hand in your rhythms and articulation studies (KAZE NO MAI) to your SLs by Tuesday, 19 October 2010, if not SLs will have to bear the consequences. Please write in the counting for the rhythm if you have not done so. SLs will pass the studies to any of the top 4s.

2. For those who are going for the Hong Kong trip, meet the leaders this coming Tuesday, 19 October 2010 at the parade square straight after dismissal at 10.30am. Those who fail to attend, you'll have to bear your own consequences and also, all of you have to write a short paragraph of at least 50words of what you think the objectives are for the Hong Kong trip.
Don't try to be funny.

3. Tuesday practice will be cancelled due to graduation day, thus practice will resume on wednesday, 20th october 2010, 2.45pm. Settle down by 3pm with your pencils, journals, rhythm books and necessary stuffs. By now, your rhythm books should be binded. Please do not come late for any meetings or practices.

Let's strive for our gold medal! :)
